BIO: " UNDEFEATED "

"THERE'S NOTHING THAT CAN STOP A MAN WHO HAS BEEN KNOCKED DOWN A THOUSAND TIMES AND KEEPS GETTING BACK UP."

Sha Nuki is an enigma, an anomaly, an 8-ball of highly potent, positive, creatively unstoppable New York City energy—all boiled up in one lyrical matrix. If you want hip-hop authenticity in music, a heartfelt vibration in the vocal tones of the artist, and a smooth, rough, rugged appeal in the fiber of the lyrics laid down on some "lava tracks," then continue reading.

Born and raised in Sunset Park, Brooklyn, Sha Nuki was formerly known as “Lasrevinu” from Dead Poetz Society. He hails from the breeding grounds of Bed-Stuy rap stars like Jay-Z, Fabolous, Lil' Kim, Maino, and the late great Biggie Smalls. Sha Nuki has had the honor to conquer the stage alongside some of the rap industry's prominent heavyweights. His stripes were earned doing shows with The Wu-Tang Clan, The Fugees, Fat Joe, Cee Lo & The Goodie Mob, M.O.P., Roughneck Soldiers, Onyx, and many more.

Sha Nuki also earned his stripes gripping the mic at the legendary underground rap music venue: the world-famous Lyricist Lounge. He has been among the stars like the legendary Doug E Fresh, Nas, LL Cool J, Afrika Bambaataa, and the late great Jam Master Jay from Run DMC. He has vibed with his professional peers like Mos Def, Jadakiss, Guru, Smooth B, Big Kap, and DJ Enuff from New York City and even exchanged words with the iconic superstar Tupac. You can't make this up; you can sense the pride once you engage with him. His love and passion for the now world-renowned hip-hop culture has positioned him to be the next hot topic in town.

The man known as Sha Nuki can be likened to someone like the legendary Mike Tyson: a very strong man who hit rock bottom and had to climb out of the depths of hell in life to rebuild himself and his brand. Once you're immersed in his sincere vibes, down-to-earth personality, and explosive rush of highly self-motivated energies, you will embrace him as a family member of your current musical playlist.

Sha Nuki has a lot to offer the new landscape of our hip-hop community. He just happens to be perfectly right on time with his date with destiny. This renaissance man has a gift with communications and salesmanship—voilà—a natural marketing marriage. In other words, he has the gift of gab, and he prides himself on giving his best to all of his clientele.

In a world with so much going on and everyone vying for attention, Sha Nuki stays rooted in the foundation of his knowledge of self. His music will reflect that essence, and this website provides the links to his many endeavors. Look out for high-quality new merch, show dates, tours, and educational motivational material as well. You will take notice that the artist Sha Nuki is much more than some local rapper starving for superficial attention. He has a date with destiny and a mission to accomplish.

His goal is to gather the real hip-hoppers and bring a sense of pride and cultural sophistication to the game. The nonsense of young Black and Latino men shooting and killing each other at a senseless rate in our inner cities must stop. Sha Nuki is about the culture, not the vultures. He says sincerely from the heart that, "It's time to take back what's ours."
